In United State, we can still find several areas or states where DSL or cable internet service cannot be installed. If we live in such area, the only internet access system we can use is dial up connection. Unfortunately, the dial up connection is not able to fulfill our need for high-speed internet access. It is not only has slow speed, but the connection is unstable so we will often find down connection. Since the dial up connection uses telephone line, then it automatically disables the telephone communication.

Because of the disability of high-speed broadband internet access with DSL or cable to reach our area, then our only hope is satellite internet. Satellite internet can be said as the wireless broadband because it provides high-speed internet access without cable application. Just like its name, this internet connection system uses satellite as the device to relay the broadband data. Since it is using satellite, then the wireless internet connection can be reached anywhere we are even when we are in remote area.

The major benefit of using satellite internet is its fifty times faster speed than dial up connection that only provides 56k speed. Another advantage is its security system facilities, the satellite internet providers are usually completing their service with various protections so we do not have to deal with viruses or spywares.
